THIS IS DEFINITELY THE HALL FOR EVERYONE AND EVERY EVENT
The Kalaa Mandapam is located on the second floor and is designed with a colourful and cultural fašade, spacious interior and state of the art equipment for conjugal events – including weddings and anniversaries, diversified cultural and social performances, bhajans, large scale yoga workouts educational seminars and corporate presentations.

The Muthu Manavarai which gives the auspicious setting for the couple getting married is decorated with glittering pearl stones befitting the Man and Woman of the day of their marriage, as they are elevated to the position of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. The large stage with changing rooms is also suitable for music and dance performances, dramas and seminars to be held. Even with the 'Manavarai' on the stage, there is still ample space for the close relatives of the bride and groom to stand around them.

The Hall is fitted with the state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment and CCTV for ease of recording and taking clear photographs of events held. It is also fitted with sufficient power and audio-visual points for multimedia presentations, speeches, talks and business forums to be held. Booking of the Hall gives the Hirer the right to use the large Dining Hall, which is located on the ground level of the Kalaa Mandapam. Most of the weddings held in the Hall were accompanied with lunch or dinner extended to the guests present. With the tables and chairs set-up, the Dining Hall can hold up to 300 persons at any one point of time. For ease of access between the Multi-Purpose Hall on the second floor and the ground floor, besides the two sets of stairways available at the front and rear of the Hall, a new lift, has been built. This lift has a capacity of up to 10 persons and is mainly for the senior citizens and the disabled.

All in all, the Multi-Purpose Hall (Kalaa Mandapam) and Cultural Centre appear to be the dream hall for weddings, anniversaries and other cultural, social and business events. Whatever the occasion, this modern Hall together with the spacious Dining Hall would more than meet your needs. The hiring charges are also affordable, given the size and state of the art equipment provided. All goods must be transferred only via stairways located at the front and rear of the hall.

The Hirer must refrain from using staples or other non removable pins for the decorations put up. There should not be any damage to the wall surfaces or sculptures.

If any damage to the property or fixtures are found, the cost of repair for the damage will be deducted from the refundable deposit.

The Temple Management reserves the right to cancel the bookings 3 months prior to booking date with justifiable reasons.

CONDITIONS FOR BOOKING AND USE OF THE KALAA MANDAPAM-MULTI-PURPOSE HALL (FOR OTHER EVENTS)

The Hall may be booked at any time through the Temple Secretariat subject to the following conditions:-

» Bookings will be made on a first-come-first-servedbasis.
» Bookings will only be confirmed on full payment of hall charges for the duration of the event.
» Usage of PA system will be charged separately.
» For other requirements, there will be extra charges. (please check with Temple Secretariat on details of these charges)
» Once booking is confirmed no monies will be refunded if the event date is cancelled or postponed.
» The Hirer may cater food and drinks from the temple, provided that three weeks notice is given to confirm the menu. Food and drinks can only be consumed in the Dining Hall at the ground level.
» The use of the Dining Hall will be shared, where applicable with the Temple functions of the day.
» Management has provided for a passenger lift for the convenience of the elderly and handicapped. No goods of any kind should be transported using the lift.

SRI SENPAGA VINAYAGAR TEMPLE KALAA MANDAPAM & CULTURAL CENTRE

Nestled beautifully between the serenity of houses along Ceylon Road and Marshall Road sits a beautiful Wedding and Cultural Hall, which has hosted hundreds of Hindu weddings and cultural performances. With its latest audio and video state of the art equipment and a seating capacity of more than 700 guests, this Hall is regarded as one of the best in Singapore.
