This Hall the Kalaa Mandapam and Cultural Centre is a three-storey ancillary building, just next to Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple. It is owned and operated by Singapore Ceylon Tamils Association (SCTA).
The Newly built Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple is truly a breathtaking site of world-class structure with its Chola-like architecture. It is often termed by its devotees and many guests as truly a ‘Heaven on Earth’. In the beginning of 2004, the Singapore Tourists Promotion Board, impressed by the unique structure and features of the Temple, has earmarked it as a National Heritage site and a tourist spot.
The Kalaa Mandapam located on the second flooris designed with a colorful and cultural façade, spacious interior and state of the art equipment for conjugal event-including weddings and anniversaries, diversifiedcultural and social performances, bhajans, large scale yoga workouts educational seminars and corporate presentations.
The Muthu Manavarai which gives the auspicious setting for the couple getting married is decorated with glittering pearl stones befittingthe Man and Woman of the day of their marriage, as they are elevated to the position of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi.
The large stage with changing rooms is also suitable for music and dance performances, dramas and seminars to be held.
