Our Music Academy student, Akshaya Prabhu from the CHIJ Katong Primary School has brought much joy, pride and happiness to the community.

According to her teachers, she is indeed an exemplary student in character and manners as well.

There are just a few of her recent notable accomplishments:

1. At the Chong Pang CC singing competition titled "Muthamil Savaal Koppai" held on 25-09-2004 - she won first prize in the lower primary category. The title of her beautiful song was: "Tamilukkum Amuthendru Perr."
2. At the Bharathiyar - Bharathidasan Vizha 2004, organized by the Tamil Language & Cultural Society on 25-09-2004 - she won second prize in the primary 3/4 category. This time the title of her harmonious song was "Tamilukkum Amuthendru Perr."
3. At the Pratibhanveshame 2004 - organized by Kannada Sangha Singapore, she won first prize in the classical song category. Her song title was: "Viswathipathe ........."She also walked away with the first prize in semi classical category with the song titled: "Yaare Rangana......"

We all wish Akshaya Prabhu many more successes in her scholarshitic and singing career.
